Privacy - A short, honest privacy notice.

What we collect

When you send a contact note we collect your name, email address, company name and any details you put in the message. When you subscribe to Field Notes we collect your email address only. We don’t run advertising trackers, and we don’t embed third-party analytics that profile you across sites. Server logs keep IP addresses for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Why we use it

• Reply to your contact note and follow up by email.
• Send you the Field Notes you subscribed to, with one-click unsubscribe.
• Keep the website secure and respond to abuse.
• Meet our legal duties to HMRC, Companies House and UK GDPR.

Lawful bases (UK / EU GDPR)

We rely on legitimate interests when handling your enquiries, consent for the newsletter, contract for paying customers of our products, and legal obligation for our books. You can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time.

Who we share with

We don’t sell personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the site: hosting, email, anti-spam. Where any of those providers are outside the UK or EEA, we rely on UK IDTA / EU SCCs.

Retention

Contact notes: 24 months unless you became a customer or asked to be deleted earlier. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Server logs: 30 days. Customer data is governed by the privacy notices and DPAs of the individual products (saldo.team/privacy-policy, etc.).

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection at any time by emailing hello@stoneyworks.uk. If you think we’ve mishandled your data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
